Retaining Wall Problems

While retaining walls are the solution to many home site problems, they too are subject to many problems .

Cracks can form across the face, due to foundation settling.

Walls can lean or bulge out due to the unstable earth they are holding back, and insufficient lateral strength to withstand these pressures.

Luckily, with today's grouting technologies, these kind of problems can often be solved without having to replace the retaining wall or dig up the yard.

Gibson offers the ability to help determine the exact cause such settling and shifting, and a variety of  solutions to not only prevent further settling, but can often raise the retaining wall back up to it's original position. We can even "strengthen" the soil behind the wall with injection techniques to prevent future pressure from being exerted on the wall.

If you have problems that you feel could be caused by such settling, contact Gibson and we will assist you in a quick resolution.
